CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ARCHIVAL COLLECTIONS OF THE STATE ARCHIVE OF KIROVOHRAD REGION ON THE HISTORY OF ELYSAVETGRAD MUNICIPAL SELF-GOVERNMENT (1871–1917)

The article describes the archival funds of the State Archives of Kirovohrad Region, relating to the history of the Elisavetgrad city self-government in 1871–1917. Purpose. To analyze the process of formation and description of archival funds 18 and 78 of the State Archive of Kirovohrad Region in the 1920s–1950s and to clarify the informational potential of documents from the history of Elysavetgrad city self-government for 1871–1917. Methods. The methodological basis of the work consists of general scientific (analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, systematic approach) and special-historical (historical-genetic, historical-comparative) methods and principles of historicism, subjectivism, optimization of the volume of information. Scientific novelty. The article first analyzes the level of preservation of documents of fund 18 of the State archive of Kirovohrad Region, namely: 47 journal books of the city duma for 1871, 1874, 1876, 1882, 1885, 1889, 1890, 1892, 1893, 1894, 1908, 1909, 1914, 1915 , 1916, 1917 and specialized books N. 1 (1882, 1883, 1884, 1885) for recording papers, specialized books N. 2 (for 1883, 1884, 1885) for recording the deputies present, specialized books N. 3 (1882, 1883, 1884) for recording source papers and specialized book N. 4 for recording the results of the city administration elections for 1897–1908. Results. The article first analyzes the level of preservation and information potential of 73 protocol books of Elysavetgrad city administration for 1871–1916. The article first analyzes the information potential of specialized books of the office of the city administration was analyzed, namely: book N 36 on service in the city administration for 1877–1895 and 1895–1908, book N 42 for observing elections for positions in 1896–1899. Conclusions. The State archive of the Kirovohrad region contains documents that allow us to analyze the development of Elysavetgrad city self-government from 1871 to 1917.
